How to Style Boots for Winter

By Kelsey Hokit|
Styling boots can sometimes feel overwhelming with so many different types of boots and outfit options. Now that the weather is officially colder, there is no better time to talk about styling boots so you can feel on-trend and plan the perfect outfit with boots no matter what the occasion is!

1. Tall Boots
Maybe you already have a pair or you saw a girl walking down the street looking insanely chic in tall boots. A great pair of knee-height leather boots can be styled in a few different ways that will have you looking and feeling great all winter long. Whether you find a pair of black or a beautiful shade of brown boots, styling it with a long sweater dress and a coat is one of the easiest outfits to put together. This look is perfect for dinner or drinks with your best friend.

For an outfit that is more dressed up, pair your tall boots with a leather skirt and sweater. To make the look chicer, wear pantyhose under your skirt and the outfit will be winter ready.

2. Combat Boots
Combat boots are being seen everywhere right now and rightfully so. They are fun and edgy boot that can be worn with a wide variety of outfits. One of the best ways to style combat boots is to throw on your favorite denim, but make sure it is more of a boyfriend or looser fitting. Finish the outfit with a sweater and leather jacket or long coat to have a laid back look you can wear anytime.

3. Booties
Booties have been popular for years and almost everyone has at least one pair in their closet. When it comes to styling them, short leather booties are more on-trend this year. Whether you want a pair that is pointed-toe or square-toe, they can be worn with a pair of straight-leg jeans and a beautiful sweater or put on with your favorite trousers, a white button-up, and coat for a day in the office.

4. Western Style Boots
Western-style boots are taking the fashion world by storm. They are being seen everywhere and styled in a variety of ways. Instead of traditional tall boots or booties, consider adding a pair of western-style boots to your closet this year. Whether you want to wear them casual with your favorite denim tucked in and an oversized blazer or with a short sweater dress, you can wear these all throughout the season.

With these styling ideas, you can style almost any pair of boots in your closet and look great doing it!
